God Loves Hair was a 2011 Lambda Award Finalist and self published. To buy a copy its best to go directly to the author's site.
A Map of Home by Jarrar is classified as fiction and works very well as a YA crossover.
I've been hearing great things about Torres debut We the Animals which is also classified as fiction. From the description it looks like it has some YA crossover appeal as well.
The LGBTQ characters in Pull and Jazz in Love are secondary, role players but their presence is felt.

What a great list, thank you for posting it. I am going to add some to my high school library collection. My favorites on the list are I am J and GodBox
Thanks Helen. There are a lot of great books on this list it would be diffcult not to love at least two.
I'm not totally sure, because I haven't read it yet but I think 'Bait' by Alex Sanchez fits on this list as well and (I have read this but it was a while ago). 'What They Always Tell Us' by Martin Wilson might fit too (the love interest is British Indian if I remember rightly).
Oh no duh I'm stupid, this is a list of books you've read not an all encompasing one. Sorry, ignore me :)
Jodie - I haven't read all of books on the list. Though I did read Bait and liked it a lot.
I actually need to add a line letting people know that Alex Sanchez and Jacqueline Woodson both have a lot of YA books with LGBTQ teens.
It would just be too much to list all of their titles. Though I couldn't resist adding Boyfriends with Girlfriends because I love the cover.
