ReplyDeleteHow about Dana in Sharon Draper's third book, Just Another Hero, she is Kofi's girlfriend and she is the one girl who decided to join the Warriors of Distinction in Battle of Jericho and as the only female pledge was made to endure lots of hazing. In this third book, she finds out her boyfriend is addicted to painkillers and gives him the ultimatum---quit nthem or I am gone!!! Kofi goes through horrible withdrawal but it is because Dana is strong and he doesn't want to lose her.
