He has other good children's books as well, such as My Little Car and a series on a cat named "Chato". Hope you enjoy this suggestion!RLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02361577388558819853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6482156857828868888.post-69491206956625964352008-11-24T00:06:00.000-05:002008-11-24T00:06:00.000-05:00You're welcome Claudia and thanks for visitingYou're welcome Claudia and thanks for visitingDorethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08676911030014718403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6482156857828868888.post-74937605908797040092008-11-23T21:50:00.000-05:002008-11-23T21:50:00.000-05:00Wow, this is an awesome list, Doret. It's a legitimate problem and pretending it doesn't exist doesn't do much but sweep it under the proverbial rug.

I have nothing to add to the list. But wanted to encourage parents, librarians and other gatekeepers to please open your mind to what types of books you present to young readers. Remember that reading for pleasure is equally as important, if not more, than required reading. And that what pleases a young reader is highly subjective, so the more diversity among books the better the chances of capturing a young reader before they turn their minds away from reading altogether.

Off the soap box.

Thanks again for the list!Paulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16995262723350443110noreply@blogger.com
